It seems likely to familiarize your ears hearing the language, as a case in point, is English. Trying to pay attention on what the person is saying. Pretend that you will be tested on what you hear. Another good exercise is to give at least an hour daily listening to English TV program or radio. In the beginning, it will be uneasy to comprehend the pitch of the pronunciation. No matter how difficult in the beginning, by practicing more you will progress better.

When you are trying to broaden your vocabulary, the key is a commitment to learn a new word daily. Why do you need to boost your words? You'll be easily to communicate in spoken or written in a concise manner and people will understand you better.

To practice this task, you can start by reading your favorite articles, magazines, newspaper or journals. It’s a good idea to drop a line of new words you’ve discovered. Then you could apply the words in your daily activity.

Tip #3 Learn to write

I have observed that keeping a journal or writing a blog is a great method of using new vocabulary and getting forward around grammar. Try to write something new daily basis, even it’s just few sentences. By writing you communicate to others.

Tips #4 Test your English Proficiency: IELTS or TOEFL

Both of these English tests as a foreign language are very crucial in deciding whether or not you will be eligible studying at the college/university of your choice. The score will decide whether you will get or not into the colleges you want. The IELTS test has a nine-band score system with nine being the highest you can get and show your proficiency. While a total score of iBT TOEFL is 120 as the highest points for each of them is designed to test student in four skills, listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Thus, you could boost both your receptive and productive skills by committing to the above hints, I mean tips 1 -3.

Tips #5 Personal Statement

Personal statement is your introduction to a selection committee. This requirement can be one of the most stressful parts of the process. The uttermost important role of the essay is to give admissions committees a sense of your personality and what kind of addition you'd be to their school's community. Basically, the essay contextualizes your application and shows what kind of person you are outside of your grades and test score.

The other purpose of the essay is to serve as a writing sample and help colleges see that you have the skills needed to succeed in classes. The personal statement is your best chance to show off your writing, so take the time to craft a piece you're really proud of.
